Membership Meeting held on May 6, 2009

Elections:
During the Membership meeting elections were held for the following Board positions:

President
Secretary
Assistant Secretary
Financial Secretary
Member-at-Large (Western – 1 year term to replace Greg Vannoy)
Member-at-Large (Eastern)
Member-at-Large (Northern)
Member-at-Large (Central)

The following officers and directors were elected.

Shernita Bethea of Hampton Roads Planning District Commission was re-elected as President.

Kimberly Walker of Danville Redevelopment & Housing Authority was elected for a 1-year term as Member-at-Large, Western Region.

Bobbie Jo Wert of Accomack-Northampton PDC was elected as Secretary,

Cheri Miles of the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development was elected Assistant Secretary.

Melissa Yuille of Lynchburg Community Action Group was elected as Financial Secretary.

Karen Serfis of AHOME was elected as Member-at-Large, Northern Region.

Monica Jefferson of the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) was elected as Member-at-Large, Central Region.

Nicole Todd of Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation (VBCDC) was elected as Member-at-Large, Eastern Region.

Our thanks and appreciation to the past Board members for their dedication and service on the VAHC board, and to the membership for their continued service to their communities.
