2008 VAHC Conference Scholarship Guidelines

Twenty scholarships, of up to $500 each, will be awarded for the 2008 Annual Conference.  Scholarship request must be received between March 1, 2008 and March 17, 2008.  All requests must be by submitting the online form. A confirmation email will be sent when the request is received as long as it is during normal business hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please limit requests to, two individuals from any one agency.

·Scholarship can be used for the following: certification cost, purchase manual, conference registration, hotel room rental

· Scholarship cannot be used for the following: membership dues, food, travel, use of internet, phone calls, any other incidental charges incurred during stay in hotel room

· Please send only one email per agency listing the recipient(s) and expenses to be covered

·VAHC Treasurer will pay out all funds for scholarship recipient

· All grantees must use the scholarship funds or notify the VAHC Treasurer by email no later than March 30th, 5:00 p.m.

· For any grantee that does not make notification to the Treasurer in the prescribed manner and does not attend the events for which they were granted the Scholarship, the representative Agency will be billed $150.00 fee

· Please do not apply for a Scholarship if your agency or organization can afford to pay for their counselors to get their certification or maintain their certification

· Scholarships will be awarded based on the information received, there will be no modifications made

·If the individual who was awarded a scholarship cannot attend, the monies either will be awarded to another recipient from another agency or put back into the Scholarship Fund.
